Here is a little about who we are, what we are like, and what is going on at the moment.
Paddocks is a long-established preschool, a stone's throw from St. Johns Primary School, near the centre of Wallingford. We're a charity run by a committee, which made up of parents of current Paddocks children.
The day-to-day business is carried out by a brilliant team of qualified, capable and caring professionals. We have a lovely single-storey setting, with some excellent outdoor space too.
We have obtained and kept our Ofsted Outstanding grade in the last three inspections (2019, 2015 and 2011). Click here for latest Ofsted report
Unfortunately, owing to current Public Health England Guidelines and control measures we have in place, we are unable to do showrounds.
Please do have a look at our Virtual Showround below.
If any members of your household experience symptoms of coronavirus during the holiday period, please remember to still book a test through NHS Test and Trace and be prepared to share contact details of anyone you, or they, have been in close contact with if the result is positive.
Please remember, the guidance for self-isolation has recently changed and, from 14 December, people will need to isolate for 10 days if they have been in contact with someone who has tested positive.
If your household is due to travel abroad for Christmas, please remember that you will all need to self-isolate for 10 days when you return, unless you have travelled to a country on the government’s travel corridor list.
From 15 December, those who have travelled to a country outside this list will have the option of taking a coronavirus test five days after they return. If the test is negative, you will not need to isolate for any longer.
Should your child test positive for coronavirus while we are closed, please do let us know so that we can inform the relevant organisations and take any action required. You will be able to contact us via email (info@paddockspreschool.com). We will be checking our inbox daily until 24th December 2020.
Please also let us know if your child’s return is going to be delayed in the new term because your household is self-isolating, whether this is due to contact with a positive case or recent travel abroad.
We are fully open and fortunate to be able to operate as a single bubble, enabling flexibility in session requirements. We would like to reassure you that we take seriously our responsibility to keep the children and staff safe. We are doing our best to ensure we are not putting them under any undue risk during this difficult time.
Please adhere to the following proceedures:
We have carried out a thorough risk assessment. Please refer to our Policies and Procedures Addendum which outlines the measures we have put in place and any alterations made to our existing policies and procedures.
